MEET OUR STAFF

PASTOR JONATHAN PAPA

Jonathan grew up in Bloomfield, but later discovered his desire to plant a church back home in Suburban Essex County while completing his B.A. degree in Biblical Studies (Central Bible - Springfield, MO).  Shortly after college Jonathan met Nivin while ministering at Calvary Temple in Wayne as a staff and youth pastor. In time they were married and started a family with the addition of their son Jathan. Nivin, also gained a similar passion to reach this region while continuing to work as a teacher in Newark.  After nearly five years of ministry at Calvary, becoming Ordained and finishing his Master’s degree (Alliance - Nyack/NYC, NY) the opportunity arose to fulfill the call to go to Essex County to launch this exciting new church in 2009. Since the opening of church Jonathan and Nivin have had the addition of their daughter to their family in the Spring of 2011. Nivin is also serving as the churches Children's Director with several years of ministry experience and as a public educator.

 MUSIC DIRECTOR - ALEX CASTELLANOS

  Alex Castellanos began playing the piano at church as a preteen, and first led worship nearly 10 years ago. He is currently pursuing his diploma in Ministerial Studies with the NJ District Assemblies of God. While serving in his local church Alex met his wife Alina who is also actively engaged in ministry and they married in 2006. Alina also serves in many of the administrative matters of the church.
